Markus Green is Vice President & Assistant General Counsel for Pfizer, Inc., one of the largest global biopharmaceutical companies. At Pfizer, Mr. Green helps lead the Government Litigation Group. In this capacity, Mr. Green works with local, state, and federal prosecutors to defend Pfizer’s interest in government-initiated litigation and investigations. Mr. Green is also responsible for several Pfizer initiatives, including civil justice reform, managing the attorney general outreach program and handling congressional inquiries and investigations. Before joining Pfizer, Mr. Green spent a decade in public service. He was as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and later served as Executive Assistant Attorney General and Chief of Staff in the New Jersey AGs Office. At Pfizer, Mr. Green also serves on the Attorney General Alliance – Africa’s Advisory Board (“AGA Africa”) as its founding member. AGA Africa provides training throughout the Continent to help prosecutors, judges, and investigators combat transnational crime. In this role, Mr. Green works closely with ministries of justice, law enforcement personnel, government and non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders. He fosters relationships and increases interest in the organization’s work through stakeholder engagements and presentations. Mr. Green earned his Bachelor Degree, Sum Cum Laude from John Jay College and his Juris Doctorate with honors from Rutgers Law School and is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
