Biography

Nmesoma Emmanuel-Ikwan is a sophomore at Howard University studying Finance and Computer Science, with a strong interest in economic development, entrepreneurship, and expanding access to capital for small businesses in underserved markets.

Originally from Abuja, Nigeria, Nmesoma's passion for economic empowerment was shaped by firsthand exposure to the challenges many entrepreneurs face in accessing credit, infrastructure, and formal financial systems. He is particularly interested in developing solutions that help bridge these gaps and unlock opportunities for sustainable growth.

Nmesoma currently serves as Chapter President of the Black Venture Capital Consortium (BVCC) at Howard University, where he focuses on connecting capital with emerging opportunities and fostering greater engagement in venture capital and entrepreneurship. He aspires to establish a philanthropic initiative focused on economic development, supporting businesses and communities that demonstrate strong potential but lack the resources required to scale.

As CEO Office Fellow, Nmesoma supports the Office of the President & CEO across strategic initiatives, research, stakeholder engagement, and organizational priorities. He is committed to learning from leaders operating across finance, government, and international development while contributing to the mission and growth of the EBII ecosystem.
