Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya
Born on December, 31, 1968, H.E. David K. Kerich is a highly experienced professional with over 32 years experience in the public and private sectors. A lawyer by profession, he has vast experience in strategic management, policy development, performance management, and leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in legal studies from the Kenya School of Law. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He has excelled in various roles, including as the Speaker of the Baringo County Assembly a position he held until just before his appointment as Ambassador of Kenya to the United States. As Speaker, he was Chairman for the House Business Committee, Chairman County Assembly Service Board and Chair Appointments Committee. Amb. Kerich was also a member of the Industrial Property Tribunal of Kenya. As a lawyer he was a managing partner at a leading law firm in Kenya, a legal officer in his early days and state counsel at the Attorney General’s Chambers in the city of Nairobi and Kisumu in the early 1990s. Additionally, Amb. Kerich has demonstrated effective leadership by overseeing legislative representation, managing debates, and enforcing constitutional requirements. Further, Amb. Kerich has actively contributed to various organizations in Kenya and served on several boards, including the Baringo Advocacy and Development Organization, Moi Teachers College, Ngetrmoi Girls High School, and Kituro High School.
