Biography

Congressman Jonathan Jackson represents Illinois’s 1st Congressional District, encompassing parts of Chicago and surrounding communities. A dedicated advocate for social justice, economic equity, and international cooperation, he serves on the House Committees on Foreign Affairs and Agriculture, including the Subcommittee on Africa.

The son of civil rights leaders Rev. Jesse and Jacqueline Jackson, Congressman Jackson brings decades of experience in activism, education, and business. He is also the national spokesperson for the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and holds an MBA from Northwestern University. His work in Congress focuses on expanding global partnerships, advancing food security, and strengthening U.S.-Africa relations.
